Let’s be honest.
The foundational goal of our work is to help you understand yourself better. We will explore your internal world of emotions, body sensations, and thoughts, as well as your interpersonal world of relationships, identities, and culture, with compassion and curiosity.
Your patterns - internal and external - are often rooted in your past. Emotions signal your unmet needs, and your symptoms are ways you’ve adapted to cope with painful emotions. Whether you’ve learned to bury your emotions, or whether they are so intense you feel overwhelmed by them, we will uncover the ‘why’ behind them to help you get your needs met.
Therapy is not just talking about; it is having new experiences of yourself in a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship.
I will frequently check in with you about our therapy relationship, and we will use here-and-now emotional and relational experiences to help increase self-compassion and promote healing.

It’s not just you.
Systemic factors such as power dynamics, identity, and marginalization impact how we see the world as well as how we are seen by the world. My therapy is influenced by intersectional, feminist, and multicultural perspectives, and I strive to be affirming of all identities. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQ+.
Feel better in your body.
If you are struggling with disordered eating and body image concerns, you’re not alone. We will uncover the ‘why’ behind your eating disorder behaviors with non judgment and compassion. In addition to exploring your dynamics related to food and body, we will understand how your symptoms relate to your relationships and emotions. Once we better understand your eating disorder, we will incorporate coping skills to help you manage urges while healing the underlying pain.
"I believe in being curious and nonjudgmental, embracing authenticity, and knowing oneself deeply. These practices are critical for well-being and healing. "
